The intriguing mix of mid grown pure Ceylon tea and Ginger makes this tea a unique combination. The history of Ginger began 5,000 years ago, when Indians and ancient Chinese considered it a tonic root for all ailments. At an early date Ginger was traded to Rome from India. After the fall of the Roman empire, the Arab took control of the Ginger and spice trade from the east. Ginger is originally from Southeast Asia but has long been cultivated in other countries too.
Ingredients
Zesta Ginger tea – 50 ml
White Rum – 50ml
Ginger Beer – 50ml
Fresh Lime Juice – 10ml
Passion fruit – 1 Fresh Fruit
Lime – 2 Wedges
Fresh Ginger – 2 Slices
Steps to Make It
Options:
1) 500ml of boiled water and 10 teaspoons of Ginger flavoured tea leaves
2) 1000ml (1 Litre) of boiled water and 20 teaspoons of Ginger flavoured tea leaves
Method:
Put the tea leaves into the pot. Poor 100°C boiled water into the pot with tea leaves. Close the pot and let it brew for 4-5 minutes, stir once in between. Strain the tea leaves. Store the brewed tea in an airtight glass bottle. Let the temperature of brewed tea drop down to room temperature and then refrigerate (8-12C). Recommended to be used within 3-5 days.
